Tanika Anderson joins Hi-5, replacing Lauren Brant

She may be the newest member of Hi-5, but Northmead local Tanika Anderson will still make time to teach Hills dance students.

SHE may be the newest member of Hi-5, but Northmead local Tanika Anderson will still make time to teach Hills dance students.

Anderson is set to take the stage as the fifth member of the children’s entertainment group on Monday, June 30, when she replaces outgoing member Lauren Brant who is leaving to focus on her clothing brand.

“This is my dream job,” she said.

“You get to travel the world, spend time with amazing people and kids are the most amazing audience.”

The 20-year-old may have hit the big time but she won’t be neglecting her roots, promising to teach at the dance school, 360 Dance, she started when she was just 17.

The dance studio is based at Model Farms High School at Baulkham Hills where she was a student up until Year 10.

“It’s been so good to go in and see them, especially since it’s been announced that I got Hi-5,” she said.

“They (the students) have been crazy excited.”

Anderson has been working with Hi-5 as a puppeteer and understudy for the past nine months.

She makes her debut as a fully fledged Hi-5 member at Chatswood Concourse on Monday June 30, at 10am
