Hi-5's complete group makeover

OUT with the old, in with the new - children's entertainment group Hi-5 has had a makeover, with the more mature cast being replaced with a fresh bunch of younger faces.

After the departures of original members Charli Delaney, Kathleen de Leon Jones, Nathan Foley, Tim Harding and Kellie Crawford last year, the five-times Logie award-winning troupe has now recruited a new cast.

Along with Stevie Nicholson and Casey Burgess, who joined the group last year, Lauren Brant, Tim Maddren and Fely Irvine now round out Hi-5 as the group goes into its tenth year together.

Brant being chosen to join the group is cause for double celebration, the announcement coming as she toasts her 20th birthday.

With a resume boasting The Starter Wife, starring Hollywood actress Debra Messing, and ABC children's shows Mortified and H2O, Brant learned of her success at her nephew's birthday party.

"I jumped into the pool full dressed and started screaming," she says.
