After a decade, Storrs, Conn. finds itself again the college hoops capital of the world.

Ten years ago, Connecticut made history when it became the first Division I school in history to have its men and women’s basketball teams win the national championship the same year.

On Tuesday night, they recreated the feat when the UConn women beat Notre Dame 79-58 in the national championship game. On Monday night, the men’s team beat Kentucky 60-54 to win the men’s national championship.

If you look beyond Division I, though, one other school has matched this feat.

In 1984 the University of Central Missouri, then known as Central Missouri State, captured both the men’s and women’s Division II titles in the same year. Sorry UConn, your tremendous accomplishment only applies to one division. For the entire NCAA, you’ll have to share the honors with UCM.
