N3C Contributors Form
This form enables individual N3C researchers to record what they contributed to and how.

By using this form, the author text block, affiliation text block, and acknowledgements text block will be computationally generated in consultation with the first and senior authors of a manuscript.

For questions with the authorship model, please see the N3C publication and attribution policy doi:10.5281/zenodo.7126728

You will receive a copy of this response and can edit it later.

Please enter the MSID eg. MSID:###.## without spaces and including the MSID and colon
What is the title of the manuscript to which you are declaring contributions
Comments to authors (optional)
Feedback to contact author and senior author; they will be given your name and contact info. Note that feedback provided here is rarely adequate to warrant your inclusion in consortial collaborator lists.
3-tier attribution model
Contributors to N3C manuscripts will either be "Masthead" or "Consortial" or "Acknowledgements only" based on the nature and extent of the contribution as well as on the nature of the manuscript itself. The final lists and order will be determined by the first and senior authors. Direct contributions to a manuscript does not necessarily convert to authorship. The consortium collaborator is comprised of a list of collaborators, all indexed in PubMed. For an example of a paper with this model, see here: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/18084292.

Manuscript-specific contributions need to be reported for each manuscript per ICMJE requirements. An overview of the 3 tier attribution model for N3C is https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NbzD_HdJcrhg26cL16DmqjjaLRZhdLOP/view
Attestation *
Only direct contributions will be indexed, whether as masthead or consortial. However, indirect contributions will be acknowledged in-text. See ICMJE guidelines http://www.icmje.org/recommendations/browse/roles-and-responsibilities/defining-the-role-of-authors-and-contributors.html.
