Hiroaki Wakimoto received his Ph.D. from Tokyo Medical and Dental University in 1997, and finished his post-doctoral study of Neurosurgery at Massachusetts General Hospital in 2001. He is an associate professor of Neurosurgery at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School. His research interests mainly focus on neuro-oncology, glioblastoma, glioblastoma stem cells, oncolytic viruses, and targeted therapy.
