We are aware of fraudulent activity whereby individuals impersonating FlexJobs or FlexJobs employees are contacting job seekers regarding employment opportunities in exchange for compensation. If you receive unexpected contact from a person claiming to represent FlexJobs that you believe to be a scam, please refrain from offering any immediate response and verify the identification of that person.
How to know if you’re in contact with the real FlexJobs:
Our employees will always have an .@flexjobs.com email address. If you receive an inquiry from a gmail/telegram/WhatsApp/social media account that does not direct you to communicate with an email address that ends with .@flexjobs.com, it’s a scam.

It’s important to note that FlexJobs is not active on WhatsApp or Telegram (we only have a FlexJobs channel where we share warnings about this scam ) and will never reach out to job seekers on those apps. Many scammers use the FlexJobs logo as a way to trick users into communicating and working with them. There are multiple accounts we are working to get taken down on these apps. Do not engage with them and always check with the FlexJobs team to verify if the person contacting you actually works for FlexJobs. In most cases, these people are scammers because we do not reach out to job seekers individually unless you reach out to us about your membership or client services issues.

Now, here’s what you need to do:

1. Send the link of the scammer’s profile or their contact information to

3. Block them from having access to your profile or messages.

4. Remove them from any other location where you may have them as a contact (like Gmail or Google Hangouts) and report them as fraud on those platforms.

5. If the scammer offers to send you an iTunes gift card as a form of payment (which is common), report it to Apple.
