Modules in this learning path

This module guides you through the steps of installing required software on your computer so that you can complete the entire Learning Path for Power Automate: Automation.

Developers use solutions to write, package, and maintain units of software that extend Microsoft Dataverse. This module guides you through the process of creating a desktop flow.

In the module Create your first desktop flow - Online workshop, you created your first desktop flow that can automate entering of a new invoice with fixed parameter values for Contoso Coffee shop. In this module, you'll use real-time input variables instead of fixed values.

You'll create a cloud flow and connect it with the desktop flow that you've created so that business data for your Contoso Coffee shop can flow from the cloud to your desktop.

This module covers how to build a new cloud flow that automatically triggers whenever an email arrives to your inbox through an Outlook connector in the cloud flow.

Learn how to use AI Builder, a low-code AI technology, to understand and automatically pull data information from the email attachment invoice file. You can use data from the invoice file as inputs for the desktop flow to use when it enters details in the management app system.

Integrate with Teams and build on the automation that’s implemented in previous modules to process invoices automatically. Now, users don't need to manually check email or enter data step by step. The automation doesn't send payments to vendors automatically. Instead, a human supervisor approves and confirms that the invoice is real and ready for payment before automation moves to the next step. Power Automate provides seamless, built-in human approval mechanisms that you can use.

Learn how to create subflows and web automation to record invoice information into an existing Excel file. You also learn how to convert invoiced amounts from one currency to another by using real-time currency conversion rates, and then you log the converted amount into the Excel file. The Power Automate for desktop app lets you complete this type of task because it can automate against any website in addition to automating against Windows applications.
