Rogue truck drivers are reportedly plotting to shut down major highways across Australia to protest against Covid lockdowns.

One driver has issued a warning in a video circulating online that truck drivers are 'planning to shut down the country' to 'remove the s*** government'.

He said supply chains would soon be interrupted and urged Aussies to stock up on groceries to get them through the next couple of weeks.

A GoFundMe page has since been launched to support the truckies financially as they prepare to strike from 9am on Tuesday August 31, which will involve 'blocking every highway entering into every state at the same time'.

'It's on. The truckies are doing it. The truckies are going to shut down the country,' the man says in the video.

'What that means is you need to go shopping now, get what you can for the next week or two, load your fridge, freezers.'

'The truckies are coming and they are going to pull this country down and we are all going to do it together and remove this s*** government.

The man says truck drivers have been in discussion with people from around 'the world' and are working with war veterans to carry out the scheme.

The man's social media page is filled with anti-vax posts, including bogus claims the vaccine is a conspiracy developed between America and China to 'poison' people.

'The truckies are in, the VETS are in, I'm in. I'm willing to go to jail to save my country and children,' he says.

'Every government who bought into Pfizer, they know it is poison.

'If you want to do this, you have got to do this together as one.'

The man did not reveal how many truck drivers were involved in the demonstration.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted the Australian Trucking Association for comment.

Other videos from truck drivers overseas have since been posted online, offering Aussie freight transporters advice on how to impede authorities efforts to tow away their vehicles.

Those involved are now calling for donations to support Australian truck drivers, with the GoFundMe so far raising $3302 of the $200,000 goal in five hours.

'Enough is enough, Australia has had enough and we say no more!' the fundraiser page reads.

'Support the men and women who make this country go around, and will be our voice.'

A NSW Police spokesperson said the force is aware of the planned protest.

'NSW Police will continue to conduct Operation STAY AT HOME to ensure compliance with the public health orders,' they said.

Victoria Police spokesperson said the force is also aware of the planned demonstration.

'Victoria Police will respond to ensure community safety and compliance of the CHO directions,' they said.

News of the walkout comes as thousands of anti-lockdown protesters hit the streets of capital cities on Saturday as highly infectious Delta outbreaks in Melbourne and Sydney spiral out of control.

A 4000-strong crowd of mostly unmasked protesters letting off flares, yelling slogans and blasting music moved through Melbourne's CBD on Saturday afternoon.

Victorian police arrested 218 people and issued 236 fines, each worth $5452, for health order breaches.

Six police officers were hospitalised and three people remain in custody for allegedly assaulting police, with officers using pepper spray on multiple people to quell the crowd.

In NSW, police arrested 47 people and fined more than 260 in relation to protests across the state. They issued 137 tickets after stopping around 38,000 cars approaching the city.

Police said a 32-year-old man who allegedly assaulted an officer was arrested and charges are expected to be laid. The constable was taken to hospital for head and neck injuries.

More than 2000 people also gathered in Brisbane City Botanic Gardens  and Adelaide's Rundle Park to rally against the lockdown and vaccine measures.

If the protest proceeds as planned, it will not be the first time truck drivers blocked roads to rally against Covid lockdowns.

Last month, a convoy of trucks drove through Sydney, blocking traffic and blaring their horns, to protest against the temporary closure of construction sites.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted SA Police, WA Police, and QLD Police for comment.
