MOZ Local Review

PROS: I like that this tool saves us lot of time and it allows us to keep all our business information accurate and updated. It identifies the potential inconsistencies, errors and duplicates. We are able to correct listings one-by-one in less time. Moz Local is simple and affordable tool that allows us to keep track of our business info and performance on the web. It provides us with reports of the issues that might show up.

CONS: In my experience, the Interface is not as intuitive as it should be, sometimes when I click on something to resolve some problem nothing happens. When ML shows me a list of potential duplicates I’d like to go directly to the issue board so I can correct the errors manually instead of waiting for the right information to be distributed.

PROS: We’ve recently migrated all of our operations from one web address to another. Moz has been instrumental in this relatively smooth transition. It has helped us identify the pages that are related to our business and other important info such as client contact details did not fall through the cracks. We’ve also been able to monitor our online presence better and have even upped our discoverability scores on search engines such as Yelp and Google.

CONS: You’re pretty much stuck with Moz for as long as you are in business. Their stipulations are iron-clad and they have made it clear that once you plan on using another tool, you will lose all your data with them. It’s a pretty sly tactic if you ask me. But since we haven’t had any major issues with it so far, we are a willing prisoner to Moz.

PROS: There are some exciting tasks that you perform to increase your SEO rankings…and then, there are more tedious procedures that one would prefer to just glaze over. You can leave both to Moz and rest easy in the knowledge that your rankings will improve thanks to it. We have now said goodbye to the tedious job of looking for page duplicates and we are super happy about this.

CONS: The learning curve was quite steep, but once you get the hang of it, everything will just come easy.

PROS: Performance reports aren’t just limited to my own business. This means that I can look up the rating of a competitor and see just how well they are performing. I find this a great way to gauge our performance and overall status.

CONS: There aren’t many features to play around with. I do acknowledge that the audit feature is great, but I wish Moz would introduce more tools.

PROS: It’s great for constantly monitoring your business listings. I find this tool really helpful, that’s why I have the tab for it constantly open on my desktop. It’s easy to stay on top of your business too because of the auto-updates that this tool offers.

CONS: MozLocal and MozPro, for some reason, don’t play well together. Please get this fixed soon.

PROS: You can easily find your page rankings with Moz Local. All you have to do is to input your URL and it does the job for you. If this is the type of insight that you think you need, then I highly recommend this for you. I love how they can help you increase or at least improve your rankings too.

CONS: Moz only seems to serve you for as long as you bring in money for them. Once you cut off your subscription, you will instantly lose all data that you have inputted in it through the years. Unless you are ready to migrate all of your information, you better prepare for a long-haul partnership with Moz.

PROS: It’s easy to see just the SEO health of a certain page. I maintain a blog, and I like that this tool helps me identify the areas to which I can still improve on in terms of being discoverable online. I’ve managed to improve my rankings thanks to this tool.

CONS: The dashboard isn’t exactly very intuitive. In fact, I find it downright difficult to find some features that I need.

PROS: Moz Local is one of the best tool that came up in 2015. It ensures us that our brand, contact info and all messages are consistent on various directories in one dashboard. I love all Moz products. We are able to keep track of our listings and to organize all our data. If one of our clients re-brand then we are able to push that out from one place/dashboard without the need to login into all accounts. The price is great.

CONS: They could improve the speed when pushing out the changes that are made to business location information, because it may take a weeks for simple changes such as address updates or hrs change.

PROS: With Moz, we have been able to successfully monitor our SEO rankings all from one place. On top of it managing our rankings, it does well in updating our business listings also. We think that this is a pretty sweet deal compared to Yext which we found to be very expensive. I like how it's easy to update pages from other parts of the web also from the dashboard alone. I’ve been able to publish changes to Google and Foursquare without having to log in to these platforms.

CONS: Setting up an account with Moz will take up quite some time for you as it definitely did for us. Some updates aren’t as quick to be implemented also and I often find myself manually doing them. I also rely on Moz to scour the web for duplicate pages from our address, and sometimes I discover that a few pages would fall through the cracks. If you do have questions or issues, then you can forget about approaching their support team. My tip is to just find a forum that will better answer your queries.

PROS: It is really hard to keep track of all the sites on the web that have our company information (address, phone, support number and etc.). When we started using Moz Local we get accurate and detailed list of the sites that have our address even the old address. We were able to update all information and to fix the issues.

CONS: It would be great if they could fix all the errors automatically instead of manually. They could implement fix button on interface in order to fix the errors and update the information quickly.

PROS: This works seamlessly with search engines such as Google and Bing, which is pretty awesome for my business. On top of this, they offer great support also whenever we have questions or issues.

CONS: Initial setup requires training. But over time, once you get to know the system, everything will soon come easy.

PROS: Moz Local is best used by those just starting to learn the ropes of proper citation. Not only is it really easy to learn, but the performance is pretty swift too.

CONS: Their support team is not exactly the best in the industry. They only manage to respond in templated spiels whenever I ask them about certain integrations into solutions like Neustar. I have been having trouble working this into my directory of submissions and I haven’t received a satisfactory solution from Moz Local’s team.

PROS: The product is simple and easy to use. It saves us lot of time when it comes to identifying listing, it ensures us that the whole information is accurate and that our clients’ brand, contact info and overall messages are consistent in one dashboard on different directories. When client makes some changes all we have to do is to push the information from one dashboard and the info is successfully updated.

CONS: It need a bit more explanation on some topics. Also, sometime the results are often inconsistent when submitting the sites. Sometimes the information will be stuck for long time on some sites but on the others the information will show right away.

PROS: We can easily submit a site to all great directories and aggregators, it doesn’t require much time and it is not expensive tool as its competitors. We are able to go through everything in less time. I especially like the price of the product, it is affordable and it provides great value.

CONS: In my opinion, the results are not consistent when submitting sites, because some sites get into the aggregators immediately and it shows them as approved but the other sites are stuck for a long time even though the information is being submitted. Also, the report is not always detailed, it doesn’t show us where our site is showing up and it doesn’t provide us with the results.

PROS: First of all, the Moz-local is affordable tool, it requires little monitoring and the rest is left to ML. The reporting is great, it saves time and it helps me to be more focused on important things. The interface is easy to use and it has great customer presentations. Whenever we run into some errors ML notifies us and tells us what the problem is, we don’t need to manage all the separate directories separate. I also like the add-on option for Search Insights, it allows us to measure the Visibility, Performance and Reputation. This is important for small local businesses to improve their reputation.

CONS: They constantly add new features and improve the product, therefore I don’t have any dislikes.

PROS: We use this tool to provide consistent information for our clients so they can improve their business visibility on the web. Moz Local combines lot of online accounts and it shows us duplicates and inconsistencies, we can track the whole information from one place. We use the dashboard so we can manage multiple clients.

CONS: There is a problem with Bing but I thinks that this is more Bing’s fault because other user experience this error. I cannot show the progress of our client’s business because the tool cannot be connected with the Bing. Also, it would be great if I could find an easiest way to contact data aggregators so we can remove the duplicates and inconsistent accounts. It takes lot of effort but the good thing is that ML provides me with the information I need.

PROS: The SEO software is easy to set up and it provides us with accurate reports, we can easily done the work for our clients and send them reports on a weekly basis. The results are great and we are able to set up the product for our clients and they are able to receive valuable results and information about their presence on the internet. I like that everything is automated and I look more professional in front of my clients.

CONS: I don’t get notification when some things are being updated, and it would be great if they could implement “report-mode” and I need to get into the code so I can remove the things before sending screenshots to my clients. Sometimes I don’t know to change data and fix some problems.
