I really love how, so far at least, Thousandaires is emblematic of Dropout as a company.

You'll find many YouTube shows touting products across the screen in videos titled "We Bought the Most Expensive [blank]", wherein the hosts buy a bunch of gold-encrusted crap bought from boutique sites, overpriced garbage from Amazon, or upscale food from restaurants that markup everything to insane amounts.

Obviously, I never thought this show would be like that, but it struck me when I noticed how fun, thoughtful, and responsible everyone's contributions were. Jake paid a band to come in, Jiavani paid someone to make that insane "dress", Lisa, paid either herself or the art team to make the time machine, and also paid the guests to come in, and Vic paid her sister and the actors for the musical. While Jacquis' was a product, at least it was something that enables a creative outlet that will probably be thoroughly enjoyed.

While others are buying landfill to parade in front of cameras, Dropout is once again proving that they're such a movement for good in the industry by paying PEOPLE for their talents and time. A lot of money was, and will be, thrown around for this show, but none of it will go to waste.

There are two main draws of Dropout to me. The first is best summarized by Brennan. “You’ve made a home where my favorite people get to show the world how brilliant and amazing they are.” The second is giving the audience good, silly fun. Thousandaires does both of these exceptionally well. The main conceit of the show is that it brings together these entertainers and gives them a blank slate and a blank check to do whatever silly thing they can think up and the only goal is to have fun. It’s possibly the most Dropout show that could exist and I’m so excited to see what the rest of the season has in store.

I thought Dropout was supposed to be ad-free but I was just watching Kepl & Dr. Milk episode and got an ad for Chompskys potato chips?

I mean I love slurping down a bag of Chompskys as much as the next guy but I thought the reason I paid for dropout was quality news and interviews without advertisers?

Ultimately, I’m just here to say (loud and proud) that I cried throughout the pilot episode of Thousandaires.

I know it seems ridiculous, a show on a comedy platform where a bunch of comedians do ridiculous things with money should not make me cry, and yet …

We are in a time where we are being faced with so much bleh and sadness and horror on a daily basis, and this show of friends sharing laughter and emanating a good, positive vibe was just something I guess I really needed to see.

I am so grateful to Dropout and literally EVERYONE that takes part in creating these shows, as not every streaming service gives space to the wholesome, weird, and overall good.

Thousandaires will 100% be on the roster for shows I use to convince my friends and family to get their own Dropout subscriptions <3

I thought this subreddit might be interested in a new podcast I'm making with a BUNCH of great Dropout improvisers including Ify Nwadiwe, Katie Marovitch, Carolyn Page, and Alex Song-Xia.

It's called Bitcherton and it's basically improvised Jane Austen or Bridgerton and when you put Regency tropes in the hands of someone like Ify you're bound to get a horny vicar (and that's exactly what you get).

says it all. the ads are getting worse all the time. several of them are now unskipable. and i'm sure as hell not giving youtube any money to to fix a problem their trying to sell me the solution too.

Do you put all of your music on one big playlist, or do you separate them between genre or vibes?

I separate mine through genres, all of my playlists look like this, -modern uk/us rap -old school us rap

• all music all the way from the 50s to the 90s -reggae -indie/modern rock -metal/rock -dance/edm music

They aren’t separated by the vibes, like there are fast songs and chill songs of the same genre on the same playlist, I only separate the genres. How do you organise yours?
