Taj Mahal

The Taj Mahal is an Islamic mausoleum made of ivory marble that is located in the Indian city of Agra beside the Yamuna River. The Mughal emperor Shah Jahan gave his favourite wife, Mumtaz, the task of housing his Mahal's mausoleum in 1631. The grave of Shah Jahan himself is also located there.

Red Fort

The Red Fort, also known as Lal Qila, is a historic site in Old Delhi, Delhi, India, and served as the Mughal emperors' primary home. When Shah Jahan chose to move his capital from Agra to Delhi on May 12, 1638, he started work on the Red Fort.

Qutub Minar

The oldest fortified city in Delhi, Lal Kot, is now the site of the Qutub Complex, which includes the Qutub Minar. According to historians, Qutub-ud-din-Aibak started construction on the monument, and Iltutmish, the Mughal emperor, finished it.

Group of Monuments, Mamallapuram

In the Indian seaside city of Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu, there is a group of religious monuments from the seventh to eighth centuries known as the Mahabalipuram Group of Monuments. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is situated on the Coromandel coast of the Bay of Bengal, some 60 km south of Chennai.

Agra Fort

The historical fort of Agra is located in the Indian city of Agra. It was constructed by Mughal Emperor Akbar between 1565 and 1573. Up until the Mughals seized it during the Mughal Dynasty until 1638, when the capital was moved from Agra to Delhi.

Golconda Fort

The Qutb Shahi dynasty constructed Golconda Fort in Hyderabad, Telangana, India as the seat of the Golconda Sultanate. Golconda thrived as a trade hub for big diamonds known as the Golconda Diamonds due to the proximity of diamond mines, particularly the Kollur Mine.

Sun Temple Konark

In the Indian city of Pune, there lies a mediaeval fort called Shaniwar Wada. The Peshwa family of the Maratha Empire lived there from 1732 till 1818. The palace was India's political hub in the 18th century following the emergence of the Maratha Empire.
