I use the app on Android, and it is not making my life easier. Regular glitching, no option to change editions, the scanner with the camera does not work, & most of the times I have to type in the isbn to get the correct edition. Notifications are a mess, too. I get those sometimes, but not when it is for comments on updates. Tried using the Web version in a desktop mode, but it keeps jumping to the app instead. At this point, I am just frustrated with the app and think of switching to another.

Goodreads used to be absolutely perfect for readers keeping track of what they read and when. Now there are so many bugs that affect that exact function it's basically useless. Dates keep disappearing from read books so they aren't counted towards reading goals, the reading goal cannot seem to count at all even if the dates are correct. Its just so glitchy and irs so disappointing compared to what it used to be.

It should be a 5* app but it's so clumsy and not user-friendly, it's like it was made in 2010 and not updated since. On the app you can't search for people, the search contacts function doesn't work, and every time you open the app or go back a page it asks to send you notifications. Even adding a profile picture feels like your updating MySpace. I love the idea of the app but it's functionality is dreadful and needs a good refresh.
