The Registrary has received notice from the Clerk at the Privy Council Office that Her Majesty the Queen, at a Council held on 9 July 2008, was pleased to approve amendments of Statutes A, C, G, and T which were submitted under the Common Seal of the University in accordance with Grace 2 of 5 December 2007 (as amended by the Council's Notice of 23 January 2008) and Grace 3 of 6 February 2008.
The amendments to Statute A, IV authorized under amended Grace 2 of 5 December 2007 relate to the introduction of two further external members of the Council, and the designation of a Deputy Chairman by the Council from time to time (see the Report of the Council, dated 22 October 2007, on governance: membership of the Council, etc. and Notices dated 3 December 2007 and 21 January 2008, Reporter, 2007-08, pp. 109, 347, and 433).
The amendment to Statute C, I authorized by the same Grace makes provision for approximately monthly meetings of the General Board.
The amendments to Statute G, II and G, III, and Statute T authorized under Grace 3 of 6 February 2008 relate to a revised system of assessment of College contributions to the Colleges Fund. The Council has agreed that the new system should take effect from the calculation of contributions for the accounting year 2007-08 (see the Council's Third Report, dated 10 December 2007, on amendments of Statute G, II (Financial relations between the University and the Colleges: the Colleges Fund), Reporter, 2007-08, p. 372).
