In these times, Concord is just the right size to visit, explore and live. Something great is going on in Concord, NH. This state capital is the cultural center of the Granite State. After a $14 million dollar redo of its historic Main Street (Click for our new walking tour), the city has a host of new eateries, cultural venues and shops. Downtown also boasts a boutique movie theater, designer hotel, three performing arts centers, music school, art school and a public theater. And, within a few miles of the Statehouse are trails, rivers, lakes and farms.

Concord is a small city with some big city offerings, not unlike Boston’s Newbury Street with a variety of art-inspired stores, galleries and unique shops with rare finds.

The Capitol Center for the Arts in Concord, is one of the finest arts centers in the state, and regularly hosts epic, must-see performances. The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center will satisfy the curiosity of any budding astronomer. While you’re here, be sure to take a tour of the historic State House. Concord is a New England City with lots of art, culture, history and things to do. It is 1 hour from Boston, and 30 minutes from Manchester-Boston Regional Airport. It has hotels, dining + culture and the arts – all the makings of a real destination.
