Kampala Catholic Arch Bishop Cyprian Kisto Lwanga has died.
The cleric was reportedly found dead in his house on Saturday morning. He was aged 68.
There was no word yet on what caused his death, by publication of this report.
The development will come in as shocking to the Christian community and the nation as a whole, as Archbishop Lwanga had not known to be ailing.
Yesterday, he participated in the Way of the Cross as part of the Good Friday celebrations in Kampala.
Lwanga has been serving as the Archbishop of Kampala since August 2006. He succeeded Cardinal Emmanuel Wamala who resigned.
