About the editors

Dr. Sébastien Marcel is a Senior Researcher and Head of the Biometrics Group at the Idiap Research Institute, Martigny, Switzerland. He is the Project Coordinator of the EC-funded TABULA RASA project (Trusted Biometrics under Spoofing Attacks). He is also the Director of the Swiss Center for Biometrics Research and Testing and a Lecturer at EPFL.

Dr. Mark S. Nixon is a Professor of Computer Vision in the School of Electronics and Computer Science at the University of Southampton, UK. He is a co-author of the Springer book Human Identification Based on Gait.

Dr. Stan Z. Li is a Professor at the National Laboratory of Pattern Recognition, Director of the Center for Biometrics and Security Research, and Director of the R&D Center for Visual Internet of Things, within the Chinese Academy of Sciences. His numerous publications include the successful Springer titles Handbook of Face Recognition, Encyclopedia of Biometrics, Handbook of Remote Biometrics and Markov Random Field Modeling in Image Analysis.
