NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital's Payne Whitney Westchester, established in 1894 in White Plains, New York, is the second oldest free-standing psychiatric hospital in the country. With over 250 inpatient beds, as well as extensive outpatient, partial hospital, and day treatment programs, Payne Whitney Westchester provides a full continuum of care for children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly. Highly specialized services led by world-renowned experts provide state-of-the-art treatment for a wide variety of psychiatric illnesses, including personality disorders, eating disorders, geriatric psychiatry, addiction recovery, anxiety and mood disorders, psychotic disorders, and child and adolescent psychiatry. Onsite school programs for child and adolescent inpatients, as well as day hospital students, provide accredited instruction.
