A NEW supporters’ trust could be formed by Coventry City fans who are worried about the club’s future.

The Sky Blue Supporters’ Trust (SBST) aims to give the fans a say in how the club is run.

It could replace the Sky Blue Trust – which was set up with a similar aim but is now said to be ‘‘dormant’’.

Organisers of the new group hope it will allow fans to influence decisions made by unpopular owners Sisu – or whoever owns the club in the future.

Fan representative Jan Mokrzycki is in discussions with the club’s chief executive Tim Fisher.

Jan was the leading figure in the Save Our City group which organised a number of protests this season, but was ousted over his willingness to talk to Sisu.

He said: “People only see a need for this kind of thing when there’s some kind of crisis.

“The gap between supporters and the club at the moment; I don’t think I’ve ever known it so big.

“You see tweets and comments on message boards saying ‘I hope the club goes in to administration so we can reform and start again’.

“That’s going too far.

“But we need Sisu to work with us and not just pay lip service.

“We want a successful club not just on the pitch, but off it as well, and we can help with that.”
