Population statistics, January-June 2013:
The population statistics for the first half of 2013 show a continued stable population growth. At the end of the first half of the year, the population amounted to 9 596 436 persons, an increase of 40 543 persons since the end of 2012. This increase was largely due to a continued high rate of immigration. Sundbyberg, which is the municipality with the smallest area, had the highest population growth in terms of percent.
