Fancy winning some actual breath that used to belong to Inside No 9 star Steve Pemberton? Then you need to get yourself over to eBay.

That’s where the actor and former League Of Gentlemen star is currently auctioning off a balloon he previously blew up – with all proceeds going to Sport Relief.

The purple balloon – described on the site as ‘possibly a bit deflated’ – appeared in the final episode of Inside No 9, as part of a storyline in which a balloon containing the breath of a musician was auctioned off.

The highest bidder will also receive a poster for the episode, Last Gasp, signed by Pemberton and cohort Reece Shearsmith.

And it appears to be a popular draw, having so far attracted 20 bids – the highest so far offering £69 for the coveted item.

Proceeds from the auction will go to the Sport Relief charity Give It Up, founded by Russell Brand to offer support to those recovering from drug and alcohol addiction.

Inside No 9, which finished its run on BBC Two on February 26, will return for a second series after proving popular with viewers and critics.

Shearsmith recently broke the news via Twitter, telling his followers: ‘Did I mention we already have a second series? I don’t think I did. Oh well – we do. Something to do innit.’
