BBC Two’s critically acclaimed dark comedy Inside No.9, an anthology of darkly comic tales from the minds of Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith is released on DVD on 17th March. The DVD is a must-have for fans of Psychoville and The League of Gentlemen and includes previously unseen material, including a photo gallery and interviews with Steve Pemberton, Reece Shearsmith and the series director David Kerr.
An anthology of tales of the genuinely unexpected, Inside No. 9 invites you into six very different No. 9s, where the ordinary and mundane rub shoulders with the extraordinary and macabre. From a grand country house where an innocent game of Sardines leads to some chilling revelations, to a blood-soaked actor's dressing room in London’s West End, or the one-bedroom flat of an apparently happy primary school teacher - these unpredictable tales feature high comedy, unexpected twists and claustrophobic horror by turns.
Inside No. 9’s collection of twisted tales are fronted by Reece Shearsmith and Steve Pemberton, alongside a myriad of special guest stars, including: Helen McCrory (Skyfall, Peaky Blinders), Gemma Arterton (Quantum of Solace), Luke Pasqualino (The Musketeers), Katherine Parkinson (The IT Crowd), Oona Chaplin (The Crimson Field , Game of Thrones), Anna Chancellor (The Hour, Four Weddings and a Funeral), Tamsin Grieg (Friday Night Dinner, Episodes) and Edinburgh Comedy Award-winner Tim Key (Midmorning Matters, Alpha Papa).
