The former Emmerdale and Casualty actor has been playing The Mill's practice manager since 2012.
Kelsey announced the news on his Twitter page, confirming that he will film his final scenes in July.

Doctors' executive producer Mike Hobson told Digital Spy: "Ian has made the role of super-efficient ex-military practice manager Howard Bellamy his own for over three years and we are all sad that he is leaving for pastures new.
"From day one when Ian bought himself an authentic army watch and shoe polishing kit, just to feel right with the part, he has been magnificent and an integral part of the Doctors family."
Hobson added: "Ian is a consummate professional and a pleasure to work with both on and off the screen. There are lots of exciting storylines still to come with Howard, but we wish Ian all the best of luck for the future."
Howard joined The Mill following the departure of previous practice manager Julia Parsons, who was played by Diane Keen for a nine-year stint between 2003 and 2012.
Daniel has been writing about soaps on Digital Spy since 2004 and took over as Soaps Editor in 2010.
He has interviewed hundreds of soap stars over the years, from Bill Roache to Lacey Turner, and regularly visits the sets of Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks for behind-the-scenes trips and press events.
He has served as an awards judge on numerous occasions for the likes of the BAFTA TV Awards, RTS Programme Awards and British Soap Awards. In 2020, he was Highly Commended for Best Section Editor at the BSME Awards.
