HL-2M

Published on 17 November 2017

HL-2M is a new copper-conductor tokamak currently under construction at SWIP. Its major and minor radii are 1.78 meters and 0.65 meters respectively. Once it is in full operation, with 25 MW of heating power and up to 3MA of plasma current, it can provide high performance, high beta, and high bootstrap current plasma to simulate fusion relevant environment. Particularly, HL-2M will be equipped with advanced divertor aiming at solving the issue of heat exhaust for fusion devices.
