Claudia Winkleman is among the nominees for entertainment performance at the Royal Television Society’s 2013-14 programme awards. She is nominated for her role as co-presenter of Strictly Come Dancing alongside Tess Daly. The BBC presenter took up the post last year, after Sir Bruce Forsyth stepped down at the age of 86, due to the strain of performing on live TV.

Also nominated in the category are Graham Norton, for his Saturday night chat show The Graham Norton Show, and Keith Lemon for his presenting role on the panel show Celebrity Juice.

Harry Enfield and Paul Whitehouse’s Story of the Twos, which was commissioned to celebrate BBC 2s 50th anniversary, has been nominated for three comedy awards: Scripted Comedy, Comedy Performance and Writer – Comedy.

Other notable nominees include Sheridan Smith, who has been nominated in the Female Actor category for her portrayal of singer Cilla Black in the three part ITV drama Cilla, and Toby Jones, who played Neil Baldwin, a registered clown and kit-man for Stoke City FC who was the subject of the BBC's one-off drama Marvellous. The film was also nominated in the Single Drama category.

Eastenders, Coronation Street are the nominees for Soap and Continuing Drama. Overall, BBC1 has received the most nominations with 18, BBC2 has received 17 and Channel 4 12.

The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on Tuesday 17 March.
