1. How does RoboVac navigate?

RoboVac changes directions when it encounters obstacles and works in a back-and-forth traveling motion. Using Bounce Navigation means that RoboVac will follow a random path when cleaning. This method is still proven to cover an entire room over time.

2. What are the optimal uses for RoboVac 30C Max?

- Use low- to medium-pile carpets, tile, laminated, and hardwood floors.

- Move cables out of the way to avoid entanglement. 5 cable ties are provided in the package to help you better organize wires and power cords.

3. My RoboVac cannot be activated. What can I do?

-Make sure the battery is fully charged.

-Replace the batteries in the remote control (2 AAA).

-Make sure the remote control is within range (10 ft/3 m) of RoboVac.

-If you still have trouble, turn off the main power switch and then turn it back on.

4. What if RoboVac suddenly stops working?

- Check if RoboVac is trapped or stuck on an obstacle.

- Check if the battery level is too low.

- If you're still having trouble, turn off the main power switch, wait for 2 seconds, and then turn it back on.

5. Will RoboVac fall downstairs when working?

No. Anti-drop sensors prevent RoboVac from tumbling down stairs and steep drops. They may work less effectively if they are dirty or on very dark-colored floors. Placing a physical barrier to block off problem areas where the device may fall.

My Robovac-Flo, a gift from my Husband hmm!
I call her "FLO"! Robovac-Flo🤣....I really, really enjoy using this Robovac made by Eufy. It's quite, I mean yes you hear some noise but it is really quite unless you press the remote for stronger suction. Okay, so I downloaded the Eufy app from the app store. Now it did take me several (triessss) to get it setup on Wi-fi! I eventually did, maybe my signal could have been week at the time but in the morning I tried again and it connected!! 😅🤣Yahoo!! I then changed her name on the app to "FLO" because I love how it just flow's around my house with ease!! I then connected my Robovac-Flo to my Alexa! That automatically connected to my Echo Show and my Echo Dot! I can be anywhere in my home or outside and ask Alexa to start Robovac-Flo to clean! Now I clean and do my household chores everyday! I have wooden floors that I sweep daily and vacuum my area rug, then I mop through out my house. I'm thinking, I'm doing an excellent job!! However, when I let Robovac-Flo do her job, it was amazing how much more she picked up after me!!!! I could not believe how much dirt, dust, foot traffic I had missed sweeping (and I make my familyand request that any visitor take off their shoes. Plus there is a sign posted on my front door! 😂 It's a nice sign). I'm that girl that will move furniture and bend down to look underneath to clean!! This Robovac picked up so much.....Well my Robovac-Flo went EVERYWHERE and picked up everything that I missed!!!!!!! I emptied the dust collector and took off the filter tapped it used a paper towel for extra measure (wiping the inside of the dust collector) this Robovac picked up so Much! I sent it back to its port and let it charge up and sent it cleaning again!! Guess what? It picked up more, I did repeated for the third time! This time I seen crumbs and very little dust....This Eufy Robovac 30C Max is not mapped out and goes where it pleases!!!! It does and EXCELLENT JOB and is a awesome help with cleaning your home. I totally recommend this Robovac, if you really want good clean floors and rugs in your home, please purchase this Eufy Robovac 30C Max. Plus my hubby caught a great deal just in time on Amazon! (UNDER $300.00) THE DEAL WAS FOR $209.00. Plus he brought a Robovac Kit from Eufy. (Extra filters, side brushes, and a rolling brush) I should mention that I used the Boundary Strips in front of my bedroom door and my son's room. Why? My husband and me leave our closets door open, plus I seen videos and it does not like sneaker strings or wires. The strips work perfectly it will not enter our rooms. I allow it to go everywhere else...Even though Eufy supplies cable ties. It also have a cleaning tool that you can use to clean out pet hair or any strings that may get caught up in it! I have NO pets but I will use it if need be. Eufy Robovac is just a great product to purchase!!

OMG! This is one the single best purchases I've made! It's a life changer! I can wash dishes, walk the dog, do laundry, work on computer, workout, work in the yard, go shopping, etc., while vacuuming. I love the multitasking it provides. Saves so much time and my floors have never been so consistently cleaned. I wouldn't say I hate vacuuming, but I do dislike it enough that I didn't vacuum as much as I should've. I dreaded taking vacuum out of closet, getting arm and back fatigue/achiness then needing to wrap it up to store it away..... I truly thought the Eufy would be something I'd end up returning because of poor performance or because I would simply not like or use it. Wrong, wrong, wrong. I loved it from the very first use!.... Can't understand why I hadn't bought one long ago! Everybody needs one; they just don't know it!..... I named it 'WOW' because that's what I kept saying as I watched it clean my floor. It cleaned under my bed which alone made it a keeper! It's quiet, so much so, during first uses I searched for it thinking it had turned off/stopped working when actually it was working perfectly, I just couldn't hear it. I had to go into the room and stand near it to hear it. An equally important factor is it doesn't frighten my easily frighten dog which could have been a deal breaker (happy dog = happy life). She just looks at, occasionally will follow, it with curiosity or ignores it. Probably the best compliment is my husband (who often thinks a purchase is not needed/money wasted) having said my WOW was a good/useful buy. I was shocked! Think his exact words were, "Getting that was a good idea". When I asked him why he said that, he said because it's helpful and it does a good job..... Set up was super easy (I don't use app. One reason I chose this model is I wanted to use manual remote). The included accessories show Eufy's thoughtfulness which helps to put their vac over the top. (I plan to use only original replacement brushes, filters in appreciation and support for their offering a quality product at a great price) ..... I thought I wouldn't like the random movement and had strongly considered the 30G Edge (took me forever to decide b/w the two), but I find I really like the randomness. I feel it similarly patterns the way I'd normally vacuum (as well as it being normal needing to pick up cords, etc. , so to me that isn't a negative). The random pattern makes it quick. Can use remote if feel a spot was missed (which is why I wanted remote), but it does clean whole area - just set it and forget it. I now know the slow, streamline pattern of the 30G Edge would have been frustrating..... I could go on and on, e.g., drop sensors work flawlessly, spot cleaning helpful for entry rugs, empty/cleaning dust bin/filter is quick and easy, boundary strips have been helpful - only downside is strip packaged in a roll makes it not lay straight once unrolled (ends curl up); perhaps it could be in strips instead of a roll, and to ensure no damage, I chose to use painter's tape to attach strip to floor, and battery life good so far. I have always needed to turn it off before battery ran low because the floors were done. Once I let it continue to test the battery length, but it was taking so long I ended up turning it off after approximately an hour. It successfully finds dock, takes extra time if obstacles blocking its way..... To end a long review I will lastly say I feel the suction power is very adequate; leaves passage trails on carpet and evidential proof in the dust bin! Like others, I chose Eufy because of Anker's reputation, and because of the good customer service reviews. Thinking of getting a second one for upstairs... Love, love, love my 30C Max!

    November 1, 2020 update
One of my two Eufy 30C vacuums began badly malfunctioning well within the warranty period. I contacted Eufy support, and after demonstrating the malfunction (spinning in circles continuously forever), Eufy sent out a brand new replacement that I received within two days of Eufy accepting the warranty issue. Pretty amazing.

The best part though is that the replacement vacuum clearly has better programming and probably improved hardware. It can now selectively disable the sweeper brushes when it senses that they are caught on something which is a frequent occurrence in our house. This is a very important benefit because without this ability, the gears on the sweeper brushes skip when a brush gets stuck and eventually the gear teeth round off allowing the sweeper brushes to stop spinning on even the slightest obstacle. Another benefit is that this updated version seems to be able to better avoid getting stuck at drop offs. It also seems to have an updated algorithm for is vacuuming pattern, although I'm not sure that the altered algorithm is improved. I've found that in our dining room the vacuum spends an inordinately large amount of time around the dining table, and it actually seems to sometimes be unable to find its way out of fairly tight confines.

Overall, the updated firmware/hardware make this a much better vacuum, and I've updated my rating of it to 5 stars. There are still things that could be better, but for the price, this vacuum is awesome.

    October 4, 2020 update:
We bought two of these - one for the upper floor and one for the lower floor. The one on the upper floor gets way more use, and its starting to go bad. One of the side/edge brushes easily is stopped from spinning (drive gear is likely become stripped), and the vacuum often start spinning in a circle with nothing blocking it. Now happens every time we use it. This is a common problem, and some people have found that this is correlated to there being debris in the mechanism of the center gimbal wheel. Not for mine though. I have also cleaned all the sensor windows multiple times. Power-cycling the vacuum usually fixes the issue temporarily. Its currently spinning in a circle as I write this. Was good while it lasted. Hoping the warranty is good.

    Original review:
We've only had this thing for about a week, but in that one week, its done way better than I expected. We vacuum every other week with an upright cord vacuum, and since robovacs have relatively low suction power and flow rate, I wasn't expecting it to find much of anything, but to my surprise, its vacuumed up tons of cat hair and fine dirt, and larger debris. Immediately after the vacuum reaches full charge, I set it loose in some part of the house. Its been run through each room multiple times now, and it keeps finding stuff. And I clean the dust bin and shake out the filter after each run, so I know exactly what its finding. Its very impressive, especially for the sale price. If it lasts even six months before breaking, it will have been worth it.

    Here are the positives:

    - Probably the best thing about it is the ability to clean under beds and other furniture that can't easily be cleaned with a conventional vacuum.
    - It does a good job of cleaning in other hard to reach places.
    - We have a piano in the house, and I watched carefully to see if it would damage it, but so far, it hasn't marred it. This robovac has a rubber bumper, and it requires only a light touch (or no touch) to get it to change direction.
    - The wifi feature is great for notifying the user when the Eufy is fully charged or when its stuck.
    - It catches way more stuff than I ever expected.

    Neutral aspects:

    - It cannot see toys, cords, clothing, and any other small items on the floor, and it will easily get stuck on these items, so a room has to be prepped before letting the Eufy loose in it. In a way this is a positive feature because it forces the user to tidy up the floor area.
    - It takes about 3-4 hours to charge.

    Some negatives:

    - It does good at sensing ledges that have a hard edge like an uncarpeted step down, but we have a single step down in our living room that's carpeted, and the Eufy gets stuck on it all the time.
    - It routinely gets stuck under toe kicks in the kitchen and in our master bath.
    - It has a hard time getting onto some our throw rugs. Its not an issue of tassels but rather, the debris gathering spinners at the front work their way under the throw rug, and this prevents the Eufy from being able to drive onto the throw rug.
    - The fact that the Eufy will notify you via wifi and a beep when its stuck is great, but it gets stuck multiple times during a cleaning run, so it can't be left to run unattended, at least not in our house.
    - It will only find its way back to the charging base if its relatively close, perhaps only within 15 feet.
    - It does not get anywhere close to 100 minutes on a full charge. We are consistently seeing only 30-40 minutes max.

This is by far our best purchase in 2019. 'Eufy the Cleaner' works as advertised and more....we are a 'techy' family so the boys were glad to see the latest addition to our home collection. Eufy works pretty well. Set up was a breeze and the additional replacements parts included in the box was pretty impressive.

Device has been cleaning the entire house every 2 days in the past 10 days or so since we started using it....I will definitely stay with eufy for the robovac consideration....only wished the battery could last longer after a full charge...I also think users should be provided with more boundary strips and maybe longer as well.

Good product so far and comes highly recommended.

     Great vacuum for the price!

I live in a one bedroom condo that is 700 square feet. I Foster a cat and I have long hair as well.

It cleans up everything in the whole condo. However, when it cleans up the hair from my hair or my foster cat it gets stuck in the vacuum and it takes a very long time to clean it out even with the equipment that it gave us to cut the hair to remove from vacuum.

The last couple of months the vacuum has been extremely loud! I don't know what it is. I replaced the Brussels that go in circles but the sound is still the same.... Does anyone know what it is? I posted a video of how loud it is.

    Please help. So loud!

Honestly, I have many pets and a kid. There's ALWAYS a mess to clean up. But I'm finally FREE! This was the best purchase I've had in a long time. It's easy to set up. It's easy to control with the remote and will notify you via app if something is stuck or not working. It'll also beep. Emptying it is a breeze. There's not cat hair floating around anymore and it's less dusty. You can also do spots only which is great for when there's crumbs on the floor. I don't have carpet so I can only account for hard wood and laminate. But I'm sure it'll work on a non shag.
It comes with tools for if a string gets wrapped around the bottom and things to clean it with. It also looks like parts are available for an easy order on Amazon.
Honestly I was so excited to find this on sale. I've wanted one for a long time and I'm so happy! I didn't need to spend a thousand dollars either. Less work for me! I just tell google to start it and continue with my day.
