KIERAN JOINS THE GLOVERS

Posted on: Wed 22 Jun 2011
Yeovil Town Football Club are delighted to announce they have secured the signing of former Everton striker Kieran Agard.

The 21-year-old forward joins on a one year contract after being released earlier this month by the Toffees and passing a medical this afternoon.

Kieran began his career with Arsenal's Academy team before moving north to Goodison Park at the age of sixteen. He made an instant impression and won the Reserve team Player of the Year award in 2008-09.

The good form earned him a debut for Everton against Hull in the 2009/10 Carling Cup 4-0 win when he came on as a late substitute for forward Diniyar Bilyaletdinov.

He also made three more appearances in the first team's Europa League campaign,a Carling Cup tie against Carlisle United and made another late sub appearance in a 3-3 Premier League draw with Chelsea.

Last season, former Yeovil boss Gary Johnson took him on loan at Peterborough United but was dismissed two days after Kieran's debut in a  6-2 Carling Cup defeat at Fulham. He then went out on loan again to Scottish Premier League side Kilmarnock and scored once in eight games for Killie.

Welcome to Huish Park, Kieran, and we hope you enjoy your stay here with the Glovers.

There will be an exclusive interview with Kieran on Glovers Player tomorrow morning.
