Dawn - Official Mobile App 12+

There’s no way to provide In-App feedback, hence this review. I only have it on my phone because Dawn is the only respectable news outlet in Pakistan.

Terrible user experience for 2020’s. It seems to be designed by some iOS-second/ Windows developer. The experience is not remotely of an iOS app. Sluggish most of the times. Taps behave like force-touch. Verdana typeface was designed to be used on 90’s PC screens. Even the laziest of well versed designers know better choices of on-screen-reading typefaces. There must be a way to allow zooming in on images without downloading remains prohibited. I hope someone reads this review and provide a proper way to provide detailed feedback. Salam: I’m using this app for all domestic national level news and it was perfect since Apple has upgraded iPhones with iOS 13. The application isn’t working properly, mostly it becomes slow and even then mostly on clicking any headline next only a white screen comes and nothing goes forward and backward, this situation is very awkward.
Sir kindly get update the app bcoz I ain’t wanna to switch my mind on any other news app as this is the one of best news source for the sensible persons. I’ll wait for your goodself’s response. Thanks

I cherish dawn as a reader for the last 3 decades. The app serves to reduce paper usage and convenience to home into items of interest. However I found it extremely old fashioned in layout and slow. Several times a story wouldn’t open and one has to close the app and restart because no button works while the story is in endless fetch mode. Also the photos do not lend themselves to zoom. I hope these issues are addressed.

This morning I tried to access the app and it asked me to update. Despite having updated, the message continues to block access to the app. Disappointed.
Also agree fully with above post.
