College Planning 

College search and selection is a highly individualized experience that puts the student at the center of the decision-making process.

 

Our counselors support students in determining where they will flourish personally, academically, and socially, and support families in navigating the ever-changing complexities of the college application process.  Beginning freshman year, our students benefit from the resources available in the College Center and from participating in the many helpful college planning workshops and one-on-one appointments with counselors.  Families are invited to events and information sessions that highlight the diverse topics as they relate to the college process including financial aid.

 

Each spring, SAHS hosts a College Fair that brings over 150 colleges and universities to our school providing students and families the opportunities to speak with institution admissions representatives. Additionally, each fall, SAHS hosts visits from individual colleges and universities. Admissions representatives provide informational sessions and meet with interested students.  This is a wonderful opportunity for students to learn about academic programs, admissions requirements, campus life and cost.
