NEWARK, NJ — The trailer for the upcoming “Joker” movie has dropped, and if your eyes are sharp, you’ll be able to spot multiple scenes filmed in Newark, New Jersey.

On Tuesday, DC Comics released a trailer for the upcoming Warner Brothers blockbuster, which explores the origin of Batman’s most iconic villain. The film, starring Joaquin Phoenix as the eponymous Clown Prince of Crime, debuts on Oct. 4, 2019.

Shooting for the movie took place in Newark over several days in October of 2018, including a scene where Phoenix sprints down a busy city street clad in a head-to-toe clown costume.

When Newark city officials shared a social media post of the trailer, asking local residents to call out scenes that were shot in the Brick City, people mentioned seeing Market Street, including City Hall at Broad and Market Street.

“I spotted a lot of them,” one viewer wrote.
