RELEASE OF DIRECTIONS PAPER SKILLING AUSTRALIA � NEW DIRECTIONS FOR VOCATIONAL EDUCATION AND TRAINING

LANGUAGE, LITERACY AND NUMERACY PROGRAMME (LLNP) PAPER

A paper outlining proposed changes for the 2006 - 2008 Language, Literacy and Numeracy programme has been released. The Department is conducting a series of consultations on this paper in each capital city and major regional centres in February and early March 2005.

The paper, session dates, times and venue information along with programme guidelines for the current programme (2002 � 2005) will be available on the LLNPIS website at https://llnp.dest.gov.au from 7 am Monday 7th February 2005.

 

THE 2005 MINISTER'S AWARDS FOR EXCELLENCE - EMPLOYERS OF NEW APPRENTICES- CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

New Apprenticeships - You'll be amazed where they can take youMinister for Vocational and Technical Education, Gary Hardgrave, has opened nominations for the 2005 Minister�s Awards for Excellence - Employers of New Apprentices.

Now in their fifth year, the Awards recognise the invaluable contribution that Australian employers make to providing quality training in their local communities through New Apprenticeships.

The 22 winners of the Awards will be announced on Wednesday 3 August. The winning employers will each receive $5,000, a certificate and a unique hand-crafted award.
