He recalls her talent for archaeology, reveals how he knew she would make an ideal life companion and describes some of her working practices.
Agatha Christie's book of reminiscence, Come Tell Me How You Live (1946), describing the Mallowans' life on archaeological expeditions in Syria, was a homecoming present to her husband at the end of World War Two.
