#BreakingNews: A brand new hotel will be built at Changi Airport beside Terminal 2 by 2028! The hotel is targeted to be Singapore’s first zero-energy hotel, and possibly the first for an airport hotel in the world. Sustainable features such as solar panels, hybrid cooling systems and rainwater-harvesting technology will allow the hotel to achieve operational energy neutrality. What’s more, the hotel which is designed around the concept of a ‘Floating Forest’ will have a rooftop day club, bar and infinity pool with spectacular views of the runway, airport boulevard and skyline! In the first quarter of 2024, Changi Airport's passenger traffic exceeded pre-pandemic levels. With 16.5 million passenger movements recorded, we surpassed 2019’s Q1 numbers by 0.5%. CAG organised an epic night of fun, food and exciting activities last month to honour the airside community's hard work and dedication to keeping Changi's airside operating smoothly. Over 500 airside workers attended the event, held in appreciation of their efforts in supporting Changi's rapid traffic recovery and airside transformation. To top the electrifying evening, the event saw the crowning of our very own Changi Idol winner!

Over the past several months, employees from across CAG have been enjoying themselves at team corporate retreats in overseas destinations like Bali, Hanoi, Kota Kinabalu and Kuala Lumpur. Such retreats are our way of allowing teams to step away from the desk to bond and build team spirit. Furthermore, exploring new environments and cultures might even unlock fresh ideas and perspectives!

#DidYouKnow Changi Airport has a Sustainability Recycling Corner at Terminal 3 Basement 2 (behind Curry Times). Every month, about 1,000 beverage containers, 300kg of paper and 100kg of e-waste are collected at the Sustainability Recycling Corner. The interactive installation displays information on the importance of recycling and how different materials can be recycled. Through partnerships with SG Recycle, ALBA Group Asia and TOMRA Collection, airport visitors and staff can recycle up to 4 types of waste: E-waste, Paper, Plastic and Metal. The station is also designed with gamification for users to learn what can or cannot be recycled and have fun! #SustainableChangi
