Did you know: 12.3% of forced labour cases occur in agriculture and fishing? Equally concerning is that 70% of the world’s child labourers are working in the production of cotton, cocoa, and sugar. Migrant workers face severe risks, including passport confiscation and crippling recruitment debts, while their children often miss out on school to work in hazardous farm conditions. To address these challenges, companies like Nestlé have shared that they are taking action. Nobody should suffer from a disease we know how to prevent. Immunization has saved over six lives every minute of every day for the last 50 years. It is one of humanity’s greatest achievements. But there is still work to do. We’ve eradicated smallpox, now it’s time to do the same with malaria, polio, cervical cancer and more. We’re calling on world leaders to prioritize immunization in 2024. It’s #HumanlyPossible.
