FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I read the bus schedule?

To read the bus schedule, first identify where your stop is in relation to the published timepoints on your route. If your stop is between timepoints, use the given time for the time point before your stop for your bus stop’s time. The schedule is in a table format with timepoints listed in the column headers. To determine the time the bus will be at your stop, read the times listed under your time point. Read the schedule left to right to follow the route. Additional help in reading the schedule is available from your friendly driver or the customer service staff at the station.

Is Rea Vaya introducing a new Smartcard?

Rea Vaya is replacing the old orange Smartcard with a new blue card

What is the difference between the cards?

The new card is blue and the old card is orange. The new Smartcard works in the same way as the old orange Smartcard. You will “tap in” at the beginning of the journey at a station or in the bus and ”tap out” at your destination. You only tap at the beginning and end to complete your journey even if you transfer from a feeder to a trunk route service.

How do I activate my card

A cashier at the station will assist you to activate the new card first with a pin code before you can load points. Your PIN code is your secret and do not disclose it to the cashier or anyone. Yes, you must activate your card immediately.
