Ashore – or maybe on the tender?
Annie Gannon who worked with Dennis Maitland in Curzon Street, advised Captain Buninga via a memo that visitors to the Galaxy this week would include two acts on their way up the Fab Forty, David Bowie (31st August) and Twice As Much – David Skinner and Andrew Rose, (2nd September).Whether or not they actually made it out to the ship on the intended dates, is unknown.
Big L was heavily promoting Bowie and his new single I Dig Everything. He appeared with the Buzz at a Radio London Show in Ramsgate on August 26th and at the Marquee in Wardour Street for the Radio London Club afternoon show on August 27th.
Jeff Clark, the MD of Motor Racing Stables, was to visit the ship with his wife on Sept 1st, accompanied by Eddie Blackwell.

This is Richard Warner's second and last DJ climber, as he was aboard the Galaxy for just one two-week stint.
Richard didn't even make it into the Knees Club. Normally, any new Big L DJ woud automatically be awarded membership, but as Mary was away on a family holiday at the time, she was unaware of Richard's extremely short sojourn on Radio London.
