    CP Stylebook tip of the week: Astronomy With the solar eclipse capturing everyone's attention, let's take a look at the astronomy section of The Canadian Press Stylebook. Capitalize the proper names of planets, stars, constellations; capitalize only the proper-noun element of the name of comets, etc.; lowercase sun and moon. In general, lowercase earth, but capitalize it when referred to as an astronomical body. ·      Saturn, North Star, Orion ·      Halley’s comet, Crab nebula ·      down to earth ·      heaven on earth ·      The planets closest to the sun are Mercury, Venus and Earth. ·      The astronauts turned back to Earth.     A total solar eclipse is set to cross through parts of Canada today, offering crowds in its path a dazzling view of the astronomical wonder. That is, if clouds don't get in the way. Some popular viewing spots in the eclipse's path of totality could be under cloud cover, while areas in Quebec and Atlantic Canada are shaping up for good views.
