"Though she went through the '60s and '70s with drama filling her life as much as success due to her trainwreck nightmare marriage to Ike Turner, Tina survived to later part of the '70s to start an Ike-less career that hit a commercial grand slam in the 80s when she hit with Private Dancer, a synth induced R&B album that was executed better than most of the other R&B acts of the '80s. However, during that time as well, she kept her rock & roll spirit alive by working with the likes of Bryan Adams on his hit "It's Only Love" and Aussie Springsteen wannabe Jimmy Barnes on a revamped version of "The Best" in 1992. Even though she did spend the her post-Private Dancer '80s days heading into almost lite-AOR at times, she still kept her soulfulness alive, and proved that she is one of the Queens of R&B and nobody can touch her fire-powered voice, that's still great after all these years."
