Executive Board - Results of elections

The election of Members of the Executive Board took place on Wednesday 11 November 2015. The names of the new Member States elected to the Executive Board were announced at the Twelfth Plenary Meeting of the General Conference by H.E. Mr Michael Worbs, Chairperson of the Nominations Committee.

The election of Members of the Executive Board in Group V (b) produced a tie as Saudi Arabia and Sudan had the same number of votes for the last of the four seats to fill in a race among seven countries. The run-off election to fill the remaining seat was held yesterday. The result is as follows: Saudi Arabia 65 votes, Sudan 86 votes.

The result will be formally announced in the plenary by the President of the General Conference.
