Anu Pallavi Anu star Anil Kapoor in Nayak Returns
The film will not be a sequel to the 2001 film Nayak
Anil Kapoor -- whose first role as a leading man was in the Kannada film Pallavi Anu Pallavi -- is set to do a follow-up film to the popular 2001 movie Nayak. The new film, which will be titled Nayak Returns, will reportedly have a completely fresh subject and it won't be a sequel.
Anil confirmed that he has indeed signed Nayak 2 and that it is his responsibility to put the project together. He also said that the film is a completely fresh subject, but it is similar to Nayak and that the character is same. The film will reportedly also star Tabu.
Nayak was a political action thriller starring Anil, Rani Mukerji and Amrish Puri. The film was a remake of S Shankar's successful Tamil film Mudhalvan.
