DG's Message

It is an honor and matter of immense pride to lead the Border Security Force, which is the largest Border Guarding Force in the world. As I assume the role of Director General of this courageous force, I begin by paying my heartfelt homage to the bravehearts of the force who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.

Mandated to guard the Indo-Pakistan & Indo-Bangladesh border, BSF is the only Force of the nation with a distinctly defined War-time as well as Peace-time role. The Force has successfully proved its mettle in accomplishing every task assigned to it in times of War and Peace situation while ensuring peace and tranquility on the border.

Our troops, deployed in the most challenging terrain and remote locations, serving as the guardians of our borders, form the backbone of our Force. It shall be my utmost priority to work towards ensuring improved service conditions, respect for their service, provision of amenities, and comprehensive welfare measures that will enhance their performance.

I urge every member of our Prahari Parivar to uphold its noble ethos and carry out their duties in a manner that befits our glorious tradition. I also exhort all commanders to lead our troops from the front by setting an example, ensuring that we consistently maintain the highest standards of integrity and dedication to duty.
