Block the Blaze is a youth skin cancer education program funded by the John Wayne Cancer Foundation. The program aims to educate youth about sun safety, skin cancer prevention and self-screening. Summer interns will be responsible for delivering the Block the Blaze presentation to large groups of youth in a fun, informative, and professional manner. The Block the Blaze digital packet is informative, engaging and free! Sun safety for youth is not just a coastal initiative; and the digital packet makes it easy to implement nationwide! There are two digital options, Elementary School and Jr. High/High School tracks. These tracks includes age-appropriate educational video modules and additional resources such as study guides, word searches, a test, optional homework and take home activities.
