SPH Media Journalism Scholarship

SPH Media Journalism Scholarship (Full-Term)
Who are you
Recent A-Level, Diploma, International Baccalaureate (IB) or equivalent qualifications (e.g., NUS high school diploma) graduates entering university and applying for Chinese, Malay and Tamil Media. For English Media, only mid-term scholarships are offered.
Eligibility Criteria
- Singapore citizen or Singapore permanent resident
- Excellent academic record
- Good CCA and/or NS record(s)
- Keen interest in news and current affairs
- Strong communication and written skills
- Enjoys creating engaging multimedia content
- All fields of study, except medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, architecture, or law.
What will you receive
- Tuition and other compulsory university fees
- Monthly allowances
- One-time grant for university-related expenses
- Support for exchange programme (for local scholars)
- Return airfare (for overseas scholars)
- Internships from second year of study
Your commitment
- Local: 3 to 4 years
- Overseas: 3 to 6 years
The actual bond period depends on the university enrolled in, the course of study, and the number of years sponsored.
What your career path looks like
Scholars will be offered internship opportunities to work on exciting projects within the organisations. Supervisors / Mentors will be appointed to coach and guide you.
You will have opportunities to be rotated across different areas to gain exposure and experience. Outstanding scholars will also be groomed for top leadership positions within the company.
