"If any of you have seen my shows, you know that I don't skimp on them, and the same is true for the gym," Madonna said in a statement. "We spend what it takes to make a globally first-class gym."
Not surprisingly, the gym has Madonna's stamp all over it, without pushing the singer and businesswoman's name or image itself. That means an advanced and specialized yoga salon, iPod docks on the cardiovascular machines and a Zen balcony. She also oversaw and tweaked the choreography from the dance classes to reflect her own famous moves.
Madonna says that Mexico City -- a favorite stop on her recent tour -- will serve as a great test market before bringing the gyms to cities around the world. While Madonna herself will not be a dance instructor or personal trainer at any of them, per-se, she did lead the first dance class on Monday. Oh, and the soundtrack was provided by Paul Oakenfold, thereby ensuring that the opening was, indeed, grand.

Oh that's good news for Mexico people that Madonna is going to open a gym there. I have also recently joined Westside Barbell gym and it's really interesting to be the part of it.
