A TOTAL of 13,729 patients have died in hospital after testing positive for coronavirus in the UK, the Department of Health has confirmed.
The figures are up by 861 from 12,868 reported the day before.
Overall, 327,608 people have been tested of which 103,093 tested positive.
As of 9am 16 April, 417,649 tests have concluded, with 18,665 tests on 15 April.

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) also released data confirming the death rate for men with coronavirus in England and Wales is twice as high as that of women.
Covid-19 was the underlying cause in 3372 deaths in March – the equivalent of 69 per 100,000 people.
Nine in 10 of the deaths involving Covid-19 were in people with pre-existing conditions, the ONS said.
Earlier, it was announced the number of people who have died in Scotland after testing positive for Covid-19 has increased to 779.
