International Cooperation Strategy 2025-2028

The Swiss government has adopted its International Cooperation Strategy 2025-2028. Based on long-term objectives like sustainable development, the strategy is highly flexible to respond to current crises. Its budget is CHF 11.27 billion.

Humanitarian aid for Gaza

The Federal Council has earmarked CHF 10 million for emergency aid in Gaza via UNRWA, the UN aid agency for Palestinian refugees. The decision is based on the report of a group of independent experts and talks with other donors.

Commitment to peace

Switzerland will host a high-level Ukraine peace conference at the Bürgenstock resort above Lake Lucerne from 15-16 June.

EU: Negotiating mandate
