I have purchased this pickled ginger since May 2022, five orders to date. Every order arrived in a timely fashion and was wrapped securely- the jars (lately I order two jars at a time) are individually wrapped with bubble wrap, each inside their own small box, taped and both small boxes in a slightly larger box with air bags to secure the small boxes. I have not had one order arrive with jars open, broken, leaking or the ginger was brown or seemed old. I like that it is organic, tastes just like the pickled ginger at the sushi restaurant we go to and is always fresh.

There packing for the jars of minced ginger that came in a set, is atrocious! I also ordered sushi ginger. It is in NO WAY the quality that it has been in the past. It was brown, the slices were not nicely cut but big chunks that were certainly not something I would put in my mouth and it did not taste right. Something is going on, perhaps the real ginger people sold their company, but this is NOT the quality I expected. It used to be delicious. BUYER BEWARE, stay away from this. God only knows where it is coming from and what the heck the brown stuff floating around in that jar is. Ugh!

I also like it because it doesn't have a bunch of preservatives in it or food coloring added to make it that odd pink color. I've not yet had a leaky or broken jar on any order. It's always packed well in bubble wrap. Definitely worth a try.

I've purchased this product twice now, and I would purchase it again. Both time it arrived with at least a year to expiration, jar intact, seal intact, product showing no signs of aging (color, texture, smell, taste). All in all satisfied.

I will add I also purchased the 4 pack - 1 each of grated, minced, pickled ginger and the ginger spread. Threw all of those jars out for discoloration, off odor, and off taste. So, if you want some good ginger, buy this - NOT the 4 sample pack.
