Cerritos Station is a 28,000 square foot facility built within the Civic Center by the City of Cerritos to provide high-quality public safety services, emphasizing community oriented policing to the city's 51,488 residents.
Cerritos Station is staffed with 58 sworn and 20 civilian employees. It has an 18 bed jail, a complaint/ dispatch area, offices for administrative and detective personnel, and a community meeting room. In addition to providing the traditional law enforcement services to the community, the city's Community Safety Center is also housed in the facility. This partnership joins city and Sheriff's Department personnel in a central location to better address community issues.
