We are glad to celebrate the first results of Ukraine Recovery Talk, one day business event hosted by Bank Lviv in Berlin at the end of last year. Bank took the initiative to invite about 30 international partners and funds to openly discuss the needs of Ukrainian businesses in times of war. Business’ voice was heard and there were immediate supportive reactions. At the end of a day we already started several concrete discussions with our international partners and we were fully aligned in our common goal to support Ukraine's economic recovery through SME financing. That event served as strong opening for this year’s business season. Meeting culminated with official signing of a memorandum with the Dutch Good Growth Fund stating EUR 5 mln investment in the capital of Bank Lviv. A next step was recent singing of new EUR 6 mln facility in local currency with Green for Growth Fund, to support business investments in sustainable and green projects. We are glad to announce that Bank Lviv has attracted EUR 6 million from the Green for Growth Fund (GGF) in local currency to support business investments in sustainable and green projects. The funds received will allow entrepreneurs to purchase ecological agricultural equipment, and implement initiatives in the field of energy-efficiency and renewable energy. Those investments will increase their competitiveness and reduce the negative impact of production on the environment. Our partnership with GGF started back in 2020 and as part of it we achieved significant success which were prerequisite for continuous cooperation. Bank Lviv has been named the best corporate bank in its category in Ukraine.   This recognition came after the nationwide survey "Banks of the Year – 2024" on February 21 in Kyiv. The awarding ceremony occurred during the X Legal Banking Forum, organized by the Financial Club and the reputable "Yurydychna praktyka" publication.   The bank has shown exceptional performance, with its loan portfolio increasing by UAH 2.298 billion during the second year of the war. This translates to UAH 4.91 billion of loans issued to 1733 clients, resulting in a 52% increase and bringing the bank to the first position in 2023.   Volodymyr Vovk, speaking on behalf of the bank's team, said, "At the ceremony, we were presented as a small bank that does great things. This is true. Bank Lviv is developing rapidly, with an average annual growth of 45% in business loans. Our ideas are ambitious, and our plans are far-sighted. We aim to provide one of the best-personalized business services in Ukraine. By supporting entrepreneurs, we are strengthening the country's economy together".   This award is the achievement of everyone who works at Bank Lviv. Each of us makes efforts in our place. We appreciate the high industry award and continue to strive for better. This would be the first direct equity investment in a Ukrainian bank since the start of the full-scale war. The investment will boost Bank Lviv’s equity and help increase business credit to micro, small and agro enterprises in the West of Ukraine. There is no doubt that DGGF investment will encourage the efforts of the international financial organizations in supporting Ukrainian businesses during the war which was the main aim of our November's event. We are grateful to our partners for their effective support and shared vision of the Ukrainian future.
