The room, which one gets to after going down a flight of stairs, is pitch-black and there appears to be rubble all over the floor.

The walls look like they are crumbling apart in the empty room, which many on TikTok said would prompt them to "pack up and get the funk out of town."

Abi also replied to a comment saying she thinks the room hasn't been opened up for "over a good 20 years".

Abi said they decided to investigate when the spot where they usually put their hoover felt 'hollow' (

She added that she realised there was something beneath the storage closet as they usually place the hoover "in that spot over the stairs and it sounded hollow".

Thousands of comments were left by people who just like Abi were freaked out by the discovery.

One likened the scene to a horror movie as they said: "That's The Conjuring right there."

Another called on Abi to "fix it up make it into a cool game chilin room."

Yet another said she should renovate it to increase the house price.

While many chipped into the conversation to give their idea of what the room may have been used for, with one suggesting it might be "where people went to hide in the wars" to protect themselves from bombings.

This was echoed by another viewer who said it is a "WW2 bunker".

One TikTok user commented saying the room is a cellar before adding: "Most Victorian houses have it".
